The Phoenix Ladies Syndicate has added Kenny McPeek to its roster of trainers as the Dubai-based owners continue to expand their presence in the U.S.

McPeek was on hand at the recent OBS Horses In Training sale to purchase a Mizzen Mast colt on behalf of the all-female group and the multiple graded stakes-winning conditioner will take charge of the juvenile's career, according to a news release. From the family of Grade One winner Greenwood Lake and out of winning mare Nikki's Choice, the grey impressed in his breeze before McPeek went to $130,000 to secure him.

A half-brother to a multiple winner, the colt can also boost Grade Three success, Charley Barley, among his close relatives.

"We have been watching his success here in Dubai and it's great to have one in training with him," Phoenix Ladies chief Pamela Cordina said in the release. "The colt has already started his education with Kenny, and from the video's he's sent us he looks great and seems to have some decent raw ability. We're already looking forward to seeing him on the racetrack."

Earlier in June, the syndicate added trainer Linda Rice to its roster.
