Late switch: New Pegasus entry — plus jockey assignments, odds
A new runner is in and another is out for Saturday's Grade 1, $3 million Pegasus World Cup.
Last Judgment will wheel back only a week after his gate-to-wire win in the Sunshine Classic at Gulfstream.
The 5-year-old gelding, trained by Mike Maker, takes the place of True Timber, last seen winning the Cigar Mile (G1) on Dec. 5.
Trainer Jack Sisterson told HRN that the 7-year-old "didn't cool out as per usual" on Wednesday morning.
"Little things become big things quick," he said in a text. "It's the Wednesday before the Pegasus, and you need to be 110 percent going in to a caliber of race like that. We will not put the horse or rider at risk."
