Five weeks after becoming owner-trainer Felissa Dunn’s first career stakes winner, Kentucky Outlaw will look to back up that performance Saturday against seven other 3-year-olds in the Pegasus Stakes, one of five stakes races on Monmouth Park’s Haskell preview day card.

Kentucky Outlaw was an impressive winner of the Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth Park on May 10.

The 12-race Haskell preview day program will have a revised first race post time of 12:30 p.m. EDT.

The 44th edition of the listed Pegasus Stakes, which carries a $150,000 purse, is the local prep for the Grade 1 Haskell Stakes on July 19. The top two finishers in the 1 1/16-mile Pegasus Stakes receive free entry and start fees to the Haskell Stakes.

Barbadian Runner, who captured the off-the-turf Jersey Derby at Monmouth Park on May 31, will look to add a fourth stakes win this year in the Pegasus. He also won the Miracle Wood Stakes and the Spectacular Bid stakes at Laurel during the winter.

The lightly raced Garamond, trained by Chad Brown, was third in the Gotham Stakes (G3). Bracket Buster, trained by Vicky Oliver, was second in the Lexington Stakes (G3) on April 12 at Keeneland.
