According to Equibase, the track canceled racing due to weather. National Weather Service forecasters predicted mostly cloudy skies on Monday with a high temperature near 28 and winds between five and 10 mph. Tuesday is forecasted to be slightly warmer, with a high of 31 degrees and winds near five mph.
Parx expects to return to racing Tuesday with a 10-race card beginning at 12:05 p.m. EST. The feature race on the card is a 6 1/2-furlong allowance optional claiming race on the dirt, a first-level event for 2-year-olds. The 5-2 morning-line favorite is Michael Pino trainee Bootleg Runner, who won a maiden sprint at Parx two starts back and then followed up with a third-place effort in the South Mountain at Penn National on Nov. 26.
