Parx has added a day of racing Thursday, March 12, to make up for days lost because of inclement weather.

The plan to race March 12 was announced in a Parx news release circulated Monday.

The added day is in addition to the race day this Thursday, which also was put on the schedule to make up for race days lost because of a blizzard. Thursday's card features 11 races, with a pair of $50,000 allowances being the richest on the card. Race 8, a mile and 70 yard race for first-level allowance company, features favored Chachaching, who missed by a length in a starter optional claimer over the same course and distance Jan. 15. The 6 1/2-furlong allowance, a first-level race for sophomore fillies, features the return of last-out Miss Behaviour Stakes winner Angie's Reward.

Parx also will its first post to 12:40 p.m. EDT as of next Monday, its first race day after the shift to daylight saving time. This is 35 minutes later than its regular winter first post time of 12:05 p.m. EST.
