Parx Racing has big Pick 5 carryover, mandatory payout

A Pick 5 carryover jackpot of $238,859.69 with a mandatory payout highlights the betting menu Wednesday at Parx Racing.

The 50-cent “Philly Big 5” part of the card begins with race 7 at 3:43 p.m. EDT. The five legs include:

Race 7 – $26,000 claiming ($12,500 tags), one mile and 70 yards on turf, fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up. Nine starters.

Race 8 – $18,000 claiming ($5,000 tags), non-winners of two since Feb. 4, one mile and 70 yards, 3-year-olds and up. Eight starters.

Race 9 – $28,000 starter allowance, five furlongs on turf, 3-year-olds and up. Ten starters.

Race 10 – $29,000 starter optional claiming ($16,000 tags), six furlongs, 3-year-olds and up. Six starters.

Race 11 – $18,000 claiming ($5,000 tags), non-winners of one since Feb. 4, one mile and 70 yards, 3-year-olds and up. Ten starters.
