Pair of Sunday equine fatalities Del Mar's first in 2019

Later, in a much-needed bit of good news, connections revealed Princess Dorian will undergo surgery and is expected to survive.
Then in the sixth race on the main track, Prayer Warrior prompted the pace through the opening quarter mile before being pulled up on the first turn by jockey Tyler Baze. While no further details on the injury were provided, It was later confirmed by Del Mar and those associated with the horse that Prayer Warrior was euthanized.
