One-eyed stakes winner takes on falconry in new career

Caymans, who raced to a Group 2 win for Godolphin in 2008, is also thriving in his new line of work: falconry.
It's not a typical destination for retired Thoroughbreds, but the one-eyed, 12-year-old gelding has been with Dartmoor Hawking in England for about two months. In the video below, Martin Whitley said the Dartmoore group has never worked with a one-eyed horse until now but added that Caymans is "good as gold."
Caymans lost his eye from infection toward the end of his racing career, with his last race run in 2011. Dartmoor Hawking found him by reaching out to Godolphin when looking for horses with which they could work.
