The OBS Spring Sale of Two Year Olds in Training is set for Tuesday through Friday. Tuesday’s session begins at 12 p.m. ET instead of its originally scheduled 10:30 a.m. start to allow additional time for inspections. All other sessions begin at 10:30 a.m.

Hips 1-304 will sell on Tuesday, Hips 305-608 on Wednesday, Hips 609-912 will be offered Thursday, and Hips 913-1221 on Friday. The Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com.

The catalog can also be viewed via the OBS website. The website’s improved searchable and sortable master index provides links to under tack videos, pedigree and consignor information as well as pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed. It has also been updated to allow shortlist creation. A link to instructions for using the new features can be found in the index header and a step by step tutorial is available in the index as well.

At the Under Tack Show, two youngsters shared honors for the fastest quarter, stopping the timer in :20 1/5 at Tuesday’s session.

Hip No. 240, consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Amira’s Prince (IRE) out of Lady Halite, by Medaglia d’Oro, from the family of graded stakes winning OBS graduate Buffalo Man.

Hip No. 365, a bay filly by Commissioner consigned by Q Bar J Thoroughbreds LLC, is out of Money Madness, by Rahy, a half sister to stakes placed Feminine Girl.

The fastest eighth was turned in by Hip No. 706, Speedy Justice, a bay colt by Dominus consigned by TIP Thoroughbred Investment Possibilities, Agent, who worked an eighth in :9 3/5 on Thursday. He’s out of Super Seller, by Came Home, a half sister to graded stakes winner T. D. Vance.

Hip No. 865, a dark bay or brown colt by Two Step Salsa consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, worked the  Under Tack Show’s fastest three eighths, clocked in :32 2/5 on Thursday. He’s out of Zarlanz, by Harlan’s Holiday, a daughter to graded stakes placed stakes winner Zawzooth.

On the eve of the 2019 sale, OBS April graduates hit the headlines when Wonder Gadot and Starship Jubilee collected  Sovereign Awards as 2018 Canadian champions.

Videos from the five Under Tack sessions are posted online at obssales.com as well as viewable on site via video kiosks located around the sales pavilion. Current information about OBS sales, consignors and graduates is now also available via social media sites Facebook and Twitter. A link on the homepage directs users to either site.

Sales results are updated frequently during each session on the OBS website and available in sortable, .pdf and excel formats at the conclusion of each session.
