No decision on new Santa Anita surface

With track owner Frank Stronach coming to Santa Anita Park for the weekend from his home in Aurora, Canada, it was expected that some definitive plans about replacing the Arcadia, California racetrack’s synthetic surface would be revealed.
That was not the case.
“You don’t fix a leaking roof when the foundation is broke,” said Stronach during one of the three one-on-one interviews he granted Saturday.
