No Shenanigans Takes Monmouth Feature

Let’s Go Stable’s No Shenanigans unleashed a powerful stretch rally to wear down Fordangshore in the final yards of the $52,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Friday.

Trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Joe Bravo (his third winner on the card), No Shenanigans covered the six furlongs over a “good” main track in 1:09 3/5 and paid $19, $6.80 and $3.40.  Fordangshore, a neck behind the winner, completed the $84.60 exacta and returned $4.60 and $3.60.  It was nearly two lengths back to Soda Pop Kid, who paid $3.80 to show. 

Blue Notion, the 9-5 favorite, stumbled out of the gate, before moving to set the pace and then faded turning for home.

A 4-year-old gelding by Value Plus from the West by West mare Western Resolve, No Shenanigans improved his lifetime mark to 3-2-2 from 19 starts.
