No Flies On Doodle Wins Hastings 'Cap

No Flies On Doodle has made a spectacular leap into older company at Emerald Downs.

Sunday, the 4-year-old filly made it 2-for-2 on the young season with a powerful 1 ¾-length victory over the favored Hallelujah Trail in the $50,000 Hastings Handicap for fillies and mares. The Washington-bred daughter of Storm Blast ran six furlongs in a stakes record 1:08 1/5, and paid $9.20, $3.80 and $2.60.

Gallyn Mitchell rode the winner at 118 pounds for trainer Vann Belvoir and owners Swag Stables (Keith and Jan Swagerty) and Appassionato Stables (Phil Sanken).
