Prominent New York State advance deposit wagering (ADW) platforms BataviaBets, EmpireCityBets, and SaratogaBets today announced Nick Tammaro will submit his final handicapping column covering the 2016 Breeders’ Cup. Mr. Tammaro has been a public handicapper with SaratogaBets, BataviaBets, and EmpireCityBets since 2012, and during that time has provided daily selections and analysis covering NYRA, Keeneland, Breeders’ Cup, The Triple Crown, and more. Nick Tammaro’s selection page has netted over 2.5 million page views, with traffic from all 50 states since inception.

“We would like to thank Nick for his work over the years, both on behalf of our ADWs and the racing industry as a whole.” said Alex Savage, Racing Development and Simulcast Manager at Saratoga Casino Hotel. “Nick’s contribution to this sport has been immeasurable, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Filling the void at BataviaBets, EmpireCityBets, and SaratogaBets will be Dan Furman, better known as “New York’s King Of The Pick 5”. Dan Furman hails from Malta, New York and is the proprietor of www.JustTheTipSaratoga.com, a subscription-based website that offers picks and analysis on the Saratoga Thoroughbred meet.  Having previously covered Saratoga exclusively, Mr. Furman’s free, full-card selections and analysis will feature the Aqueduct meet beginning on November 4th, and the Belmont Park Spring meet immediately following in 2017.

Mr. Furman’s “King Of The Pick 5” title was inscribed this past August at Saratoga, specifically on Monday, August 8th where his Pick 3-5 tickets grossed over $363,000 on the day for the handicapper.  While most horseplayers will play multiple tickets and use multiple combinations, Furman’s score was based off a straight “Pick 5” which paid out roughly 80% of the day’s pick 5 pool.

“I’m looking forward to covering Aqueduct this fall,” said Dan Furman. “There will be some big shoes to fill in Nick’s absence, but I’m confident that I can continue to give out a few winners to the players at Batavia, Saratoga, and Empire City.”
