New Simulcast Hours at Aqueduct, Belmont

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced new hours of operation for simulcasting at Aqueduct and the Belmont Café, and will suspend bus service from New York City Off-Track Betting (NYCOTB) parlor locations during the December 20 – December 28 holiday dark period with no Aqueduct live racing.

Aqueduct and the Belmont Café will remain open for simulcasting through the conclusion of live racing at Hollywood Park and Santa Anita, while on non-racing days at those tracks, the facilities will be open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Hollywood Park runs Thursdays through Sundays, with their final day of live racing for 2010 on Sunday, December 19, while Santa Anita’s live racing season will open on Sunday, December 26 with a Thursday – Sunday schedule on most weeks.

NYRA offers simulcasting seven days a week with free parking and admission at both Aqueduct and at Belmont Park’s Belmont Café. Monday and Tuesday dark day simulcasting at Aqueduct occurs on the 2nd floor of the Clubhouse.

The heated Belmont Café offers customers the ability to use self-service machines or bet with tellers, and has a kitchen offering a variety of refreshments for purchase, including soup, bagels, hot dogs and assorted beverages. The Belmont Café pays track prices on all payouts.

NYRA also announced that the bus routes it is offering from select NYCOTB parlors in the five boroughs to Aqueduct will not operate during the holiday dark period from Monday, December 20 – Tuesday, December 28. At some point during the holiday dark period, NYRA will announce the post-break bus schedule.

The current bus and subway schedules can be viewed at the following link: http://nyra.com/aqueduct/stories/NYRARewards.shtml

Aqueduct and the Belmont Café will be open for simulcasting during the holiday dark day period with the exception of Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24 and Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25.

In addition to offering new NYRA Rewards members double cash rewards for three months from January 1-March 31, 2011, NYRA has simplified the online sign-up process for its account wagering service, allowing individuals to instantly open, fund, and bet from NYRA Rewards accounts set up at www.nyrarewards.com.

NYRA Rewards, which already returns the largest rebates among all account wagering platforms based in the United States, allows horseplayers to earn cash back for wagers made on track, through the NYRA Rewards telephone service, on mobile devices, and online through www.nyrarewards.com. NYRA Rewards customers receive their rebate on the first of each month, with the payment based on their level of wagering activity over the previous month.
