Nevada Beach returned to the work tab Monday, just nine days after finishing seventh in the Breeders' Cup Classic. The Bob Baffert trainee went four furlongs over the Santa Anita dirt in 47.6 seconds, ninth fastest of 40 over the course and distance. The lightly raced 3-year-old, who made only his fifth start in the Breeders' Cup Classic, earned his way to that championship race by winning the Goodwood (G1) in his graded-stakes debut.

The other Grade 1 winner on the Monday work tab, Iscreamuscream, earned a bullet for trainer Phil D'Amato. The 2024 Del Mar Oaks (G1) winner has been out of the starting gate for over a year, but worked Monday for the third week in a row. Her four-furlong move in 47.0 seconds Monday was the fastest of nine at that distance over the Del Mar dirt.
