NYRA Reduces Pick Four Minimum

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has announced that the minimum Pick 4 wager will be reduced to 50 cents starting with the 2011 Belmont Park spring/summer meet, which commences on Friday, April 29.

The Pick 4, currently a $1 minimum wager through the remainder of the current Aqueduct Racetrack meet, which culminates on Saturday, April 23, requires bettors to select the winners of four consecutive races. NYRA typically offers two Pick 4 wagers per day, one starting with the second race and the other comprising the final four races of the day.

By reducing the minimum Pick 4 wager to 50 cents, bettors will be able to include more combinations on their tickets for less money.

Customers can wager on the 50 cent Pick 4 utilizing the following methods: on-track with live tellers and self-service terminals or with NYRA Rewards Internet and Telebet phone wagering.
