Journalism advanced from no. 6 to no. 3 in the latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association poll of top racehorses in the U.S. after his win Saturday in the Grade 1 Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park.

It was the third Grade 1 win for the Michael McCarthy trainee, who also scored in the Preakness and Santa Anita Derby. Journalism earned a spot in the Breeders' Cup Classic with the victory.

Book'em Danno, whose win Saturday in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt (G2) was his second straight graded victory, jumped to no. 8 from no. 27.

The top two spots in the poll remained the same, with Mindframe, 3-for-3 this year, all in graded stakes, holding the no. 1 spot and Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Sovereignty in second place.
