Musical Romance rallied along the rail to capture Friday's Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at Churchill Downs.

The Calder based mare was making her 14th start of the season on Friday. Juan Leyva rode Musical Romance for Bill Kaplan. She paid $42.40 to win.

Switch, the 2010 F&M Sprint runner-up, nosed her Her Smile to occupy that spot once again. Pomeroys Pistol finished 4th.

Post time favorite Tubulent Descent had some trouble and raced wide to finish a disappointing 5th.
