Fairmount Park has canceled Saturday's racing card due to anticipated extreme heat conditions.

The National Weather Service forecast for Collinsville, Ill., calls for sunny skies with a high near 97 degrees, but heat index values could reach as high as 106 degrees. Light south winds of 3 to 6 mph are expected throughout the day.

This marks the second time this summer that Fairmount Park has canceled racing due to extreme heat.
