Mucho Gusto, Code of Honor highlight Monday's notable works
Two older males that will look to have a major impact in a depleted division in 2021 hit the track to work on Monday morning.
Shug McGaughey's multiple Grade 1 winner Code of Honor drilled a bullet three furlongs at Payson Park in 36.00. He is targeting the Pegasus World Cup (G1) for his next start.
The Pegasus also could be a goal for defending champion Mucho Gusto. He continued to work toward a likely comeback in the San Antonio at Santa Anita on Dec. 26, and if all goes well, a start in the Pegasus could follow. He drilled six furlongs in 1:12.80 at Santa Anita Park for Bob Baffert.
