Ms Glory Be Wins Monmouth Feature

Raymar Stables LLC’s Ms Glory Be launched a three-wide run around the far turn and collared pacesetter My Sweet Emily inside the eighth pole en route to capturing the Saturday feature by two lengths at Monmouth Park.

Ridden by Chris DeCarlo for trainer Gregg Sacco, Ms Glory Be covered the one mile and a sixteenth in 1:45 1/5 and paid $4.40, $3 and $2.20 as the 6-5 favorite in the field of six fillies and mares.  My Sweet Emily completed the $12.80 exacta and returned $3.60 and $2.40.  It was another 3 ¼ lengths back to Dixie Dear who returned $3.80 to show.

Saturday’s win was the second of 2011 for Ms Glory Be, a 4-year-old filly by Monarchos out of the Honour and Glory mare Act of Glory.  With the win, Ms Glory Be has now earned over $200,000 for her connections.

Live racing continues Sunday with closing day of the Meadowlands at Monmouth meeting.  First post is 12:15 pm, gates open at 11:30 am.
