The Curragh is delighted to partner with Eva Maria Bucher Haefner's Moyglare Stud to enhance the race day experience for stable staff throughout their 2017 season, which starts with the first of 18 race days this Saturday on 13th May.

All stable staff involved on a race day will be able to enjoy a complimentary meal in the racecourse canteen on all race days on the days they have runners, courtesy of Moyglare Stud

Eva Maria Bucher Haefner said, “I am very pleased to support stable staff without whose often long hours and dedication, racing simply would not happen.”

The catering in the Stable Staff Canteen is established as one of the best in the country with caterer Kathleen Hanratty recognised for her work having received a presentation at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Awards last year

In addition to Eva's contribution to the ongoing Curragh re-development, Moyglare Stud's support of the Curragh continue's with their longstanding sponsorship of the internationally renowned Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes which this year will celebrate it's 45th running under the Moyglare name, and a more recent addition to the sponsor package of the Group Two Moyglare “Jewels” Blandford Stakes. As part of this sponsorship, Eva presents valuable prizes to both the groom in charge of the horse judged to be best turned out and to the groom in charge of the winning horse of both races.

The very popular Moyglare Kids Zone which takes place on Longines Irish Champions Weekend will be put on hold until the new development is completed for the 2019 season.

Derek McGrath CEO of The Curragh commented:

“This is a hugely positive initiative and we are very grateful to Eva Maria Bucher Haefner for her generosity. The Haefner family's overall support of the Curragh since the first Moyglare Stud Stakes was run in 1973 has been highly significant and greatly appreciated and we look forward to continuing our long standing relationship with her long into the future”
