Horse Racing Nation's Andrew Capone will be hitting the backside all summer to talk to connections at Saratoga.

In this report, he talks to jockey Irad Ortiz Jr., trainer Brad Cox and Miguel Clement, assistant trainer for his father, Christophe Clement.

Irad Ortiz Jr. looks back to when he and his brother José decided to become jockeys and how they worked their way into their careers. Ortiz also discusses how he rose up the New York riding ranks so quickly, and how he prepares to ride each race. He also talks about Artorius, his mount in the Travers (G1), and remembers the one win that made him feel like he had made it.

Miguel Clement discusses what he learned about Sword Dancer (G1) contender Gufo when he ran in the United Nations (G1). He also talks about the keys to a good performance from Gufo, and whether rain would impact his ability to run a good race.

Brad Cox recounts what he learned about Travers contender Cyberknife when he won the Haskell (G1). He gives his impressions on how Cyberknife has been training, and shares his thoughts on the track surface at Saratoga.
