It was a busy weekend on DerbyWars, with big games on Saturday and Sunday as well as $100K Qualifiers and 2 NHC Spots!
Jim T. from Texas, known as taytay, took down the top prize in Saturday's $15,000 feature game. Taytay scored in 9 of 15 contest races for a final score of $122.50. His highest-priced play was Prime Issue in Santa Anita's 8th race, who paid $28.40 for the $2 Win and Place. Taytay wins the $6,000 first prize check and a spot in the $100,000 Halloween game.
In second place, with $116.40, was last weekend's winner, Jim Meeks (Longstreet). Meeks' top play was the $50 cap horse You Bought Her in Keeneland's 8th race. He wins $2,000 cash and a spot in the $100K.
Finishing third with $97.30 was Ralph Lough (bigrtex) from Dallas, Texas, for $1,250. Barbara Bowley (Sophia) finished in 4th place to win $750.

Two DerbyWars players won trips to Las Vegas to play in the National Handicapping Championship, too! Josh Kamis (jerseyjosh) of East Brunswick, New Jersey, and Trey Stiles (ride that pony) of Houston, Texas will be in the hunt for the $750,000 NHC cash prize and Eclipse award in January. We wish them luck!

Sunday's $10,000 High Stakes game winner just joined 3 weeks ago! Marilyn Sadler (maremare) of Versailles, Kentucky, outplayed the 29 other entrants to take home the $5,000 First prize. Sadler has found a niche in the Winner Take All games, finding victory in 3 of those contests just since October 1st! In second was John Gamane (saratoga) to take home the $3,000 prize, and once again, Jim Meeks (Longstreet) finished in the money to grab the $2,000 third prize. Meeks has scooped up nearly $15,000 in prizemoney over the past 2 weeks!

More $100K Qualifiers were added to the game this weekend:
Connie Hoetger (Connie), Stan Sadler (nats), Ronnie Ogle (holybullgold56), Paul Shurman (pshurman), and Denis McCormick (pather1). You have 17 days to get in the game for the $50,000 First Prize over Halloween weekend!
