Monmouth welcomes new sponsor

IZOD has signed on as a meet sponsor at Monmouth Park this summer and as the title sponsor for the track’s signature race, the $1-million Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) on August 1.

IZOD will have a presence through on-site signage, in the track’s simulcast signal, and through promotional activities during Monmouth’s 50-day meeting, which will offer $50-million in purses.

Parent company Phillips-Van Heusen has shifted marketing efforts for IZOD toward sports sponsorships in recent years. Izod has been a sponsor of the New Jersey Nets since 2006. A year later, the company purchased the naming rights to the Meadowlands arena from the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, the owner and operator of Monmouth. The Nets played there at the time.
