Monmouth Offers Carryovers for Sept. 29 Card

With a slew of longshots late in the day Sunday, no one picked all the winners in Monmouth Park’s Pick 5 and late Pick 4.
 
The Pick 5, comprising of races five through nine, is a 50-cent base wager with a takeout rate of just 15 percent.
 
On Sunday, the Pick 5 races were won by Harbor Breeze ($5.80) in the 5th, Delphinus ($18) in the 6th, Jax Maxx ($29.20) in the 7th, Sunshine Rambler ($40.80) in the 8th and Sinatra’s Dancer ($34) in the 9th.
 
The consolation payout for four of five winners Sunday was $831.95, with a carryover of $19,966.24 to be added to Saturday’s pool.
 
In the late Pick 4, which is also a 50-cent base wager with a takeout rate of just 15 percent, three of four returned $294.80.
 
Sunday’s late Pick 4 comprised races six through nine.  The carryover of $18,571.72 will be added to the early Pick four on Saturday’s program, which starts with race two.
 
Gates open at Monmouth Park on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:30 a.m., with first post set for 12:45 p.m.  Race two, start of the early Pick 4, has an estimated post of 1:13 p.m., while the fifth race (start of the Pick 5) has a scheduled post time of 2:45 p.m.
