Monday’s 6th race from Hastings Racecourse (7-2-18) is the $50,000 Supernaturel Handicap for 3-year-old fillies traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.
#6 Tiptoe (4-1) won both of her local starts vs. lesser foes at shorter distances. She has plenty of upside and might sit the right trip behind the speed at a hint of a price.
#3 Toni Ann’s Miracle (6-5) romped in 5 of her last 9 starts including a local stakes win at 6.5 furlongs June 2. She owns the best overall numbers and should be in the hunt throughout. She gets a distance test today, the pace should be contested, and she won’t offer much value.
#1 Here’s Hannah (5-2) reconnects with winning rider Hamel and might move forward 3rd off the shelf. She romped in the $100,000 Fantasy at this course/distance last year.
#4 Gigi Jean (15-1) rallied to finish a nose behind Here’s Hannah in her first local try May 6, and she got no pace help vs. Toni Ann’s Miracle in in the compact Emerald Downs last time. She handed a flat mile in her Turfway maiden win earlier this year, and she can make some noise late under Gryder.
The Plays:
#6 to win
Exacta 1-4-6/3
Trifecta 1-3-6/1-3-6/4
