He is 0-for-7 in stakes races this year but 2-for-3 vs. non-stakes rivals and might be able to bounce back with an inner stalking trip today. He owns competitive numbers and should offer wagering value.
#4 Wake Up in Malibu (3-1) just lasted in a local flat mile affair Nov 23 and that was his first start after the David Jacobson claim. He looks like the controlling speed under Sheldon Russell.
#6 Monongahela (5-1) is a consistent Penn National shipper with seven exacta finishes from as many starts at this distance. The 3-year-old colt owns ascending numbers and can compete here if he handles the new surroundings.
