White Abarrio was not the only marquee horse in a stakes race Saturday at the Spa to post his final preparatory work Monday. Obliteration, winner of the Sanford (G3) on opening weekend at the Spa, goes for his second stakes win Saturday in the Saratoga Special (G2). The Steve Asmussen trainee tuned up with a three-furlong breeze in 38.04 seconds, seventh fastest of 10 over the course and distance. The juvenile son of Violence has won both his starts, a debut June 12 at Churchill Downs and then the Sanford on July 5.
