Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner Nysos returned to the work tab Monday for the first time since that first Grade 1 victory of his career. He earned that win by a hard-fought head over the now-retired Citizen Bull, his champion stablemate in the Bob Baffert barn. The 4-year-old son of Nyquist worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds.

Tappan Street, the last horse to beat Sovereignty, continues on the comeback trail after a condylar fracture in April. Unraced since toppling the eventual Kentucky Derby winner in the Florida Derby (G1), Tappan Street has been a regular on the work tab through the autumn. The Brad Cox trainee posted his third straight five-furlong workout at Payson Park on Monday, covering the distance in 1:03.4.
