Monday works: Nevada Beach leads 11 graded-stakes winners
Nevada Beach is back at work for trainer Bob Baffert after his win in the Grade 3 Native Diver on Nov. 22.
The 3-year-old Omaha Beach colt drilled five furlongs in 59.8 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday, third fastest of 62 at the distance. It was his second work since the Native Diver after going four furlongs in a bullet 47.2 seconds at Santa Anita on Dec. 8.
Nevada Beach debuted in April with a maiden special weight victory and won four of his six starts this year. His other wins came in the listed Los Alamitos Derby and the Goodwood (G1). The latter win earned him a spot in the Breeders' Cup Classic, where he finished seventh.
