Monday works: Leading 3-year-olds Arcangelo, Arabian Lion drill

Arcangelo worked at Saratoga Monday for the second time since winning the Belmont Stakes on June 10. The son of Arrogate, trained by Jena Antonucci, worked six furlongs in an easy 1:14.03. He was the only horse to breeze that distance at the track on the day. Arcangelo is possible for a next start in the Grade 1 Travers, though Antonucci has not committed completely to a next spot.

At Santa Anita, Arabian Lion, who marked himself one of the leading sophomore sprinters of the year with a victory in the Woody Stephens (G1), drilled four furlongs in 46.8 seconds, fastest of 39 at the distance.
