Monday works: Hall of Fame posts final drill before Blame
Hall of Fame, who won the Grade 3 Mineshaft at Fair Grounds in February, did his final work Monday before an expected start in the Grade 3 Blame Stakes at Churchill Downs on Saturday. The son of Gun Runner, trained by Steve Asmussen, worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds.
The drill was his second since his most recent start. That came on May 2, when he finished third behind Fierceness in the Grade 2 Alysheba at Churchill Downs. He drew post 6 in a field of 10 for Saturday's Blame, where he will face off against second-place Most Wanted and sixth-place Katonah from the Alysheba, as well as other foes including 2024 Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan and Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile runner-up Post Time.
