Monday works: Champion Rebel's Romance leads 25

Two-time Breeders' Cup Turf winner Rebel's Romance worked an easy four furlongs in 54.0 seconds at Saratoga on Monday. The Charlie Appleby trainee has won eight times at the top level, most recently last month when he won the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Berlin for the second time. The durable globetrotter, now 7 years old and America's reigning champion turf male, earned his first top-level victory when he won the 2022 edition of that race.

Rebel's Romance is entered to race Saturday in the Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic. Also entered is his stablemate El Cordobes, who also appeared on Monday's tab. Recording his first stateside work since winning the Sword Dancer (G1) on Aug. 9, El Cordobes worked four furlongs on the Saratoga grass in 53.0 seconds.

El Cordobes (Frankel), a Grade 1 winner (2025 Sword Dancer), worked four furlongs in 53.0 seconds on turf at Saratoga on Monday morning. It was the 30th fastest of 31 works at the distance. Excellent Truth (Cotai Glory), a Grade 1 winner (2025 Diana), worked five furlongs in 1:00.2 on turf at Saratoga on Monday morning. It was the fastest of six works at the distance. Hope Road (Quality Road), a Grade 1 winner (2025 Ballerina), worked four furlongs in 48.0 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the 16th fastest of 93 works at the distance. In her last start, she won the Ballerina (G1) going seven furlongs on the main track at Saratoga on Aug. 23 for trainer Bob Baffert.
