Trainer Bob Baffert sent out two of his Grade 1 winners to work Monday morning at Santa Anita. Nevada Beach, drilling for the first time since he won the Native Diver (G3) on Nov. 22, earned a bullet. His four furlongs in 47.2 seconds over the Santa Anita dirt was the fastest of 55 workers on the day. A lightly-raced sophomore son of Omaha Beach, he earned his top-level credentials at Santa Anita in September when he upset Full Serrano in the Goodwood (G1).

Baffert also sent Nysos out to work. In his second drill since winning the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, Nysos went five furlongs in 1:00.4. The 4-year-old son of Nyquist is a neck shy of perfection in seven starts, with the lone near miss coming behind Mindframe in the Churchill Downs Stakes (G1) on May 3, which was his first start in over a year.
