Mister Pippit Wins Friday Feature at Monmouth Park

Michael Dubb’s Mister Pippit split horses in mid-stretch before drawing clear late to capture the $44,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Friday by a length and a quarter.

Trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Angel Serpa, Mister Pippit returned $13.20, $4.60 and $3 after stepping the mile and a sixteenth on firm turf in 1:40 1/5.  Pacesetter Lots of Love Mom completed the $62.40 exacta and paid $5 and $3.20.  It was another length and a half back to Rustler Hustler, who paid $2.60 to show.  Odds-on favorite Learn never fired and finished last in the field of five colts and geldings.

A 5-year-old gelding by Tapit from the Wolf Power mare Miss Pine Top Az., Mister Pippit has won four of his 13 lifetime starts.
