Mission Impazible, Her Smile Work

Twin Creeks Racing Stables’ Mission Impazible and Bobby Flay’s Her Smile, who are respectively pointing toward starts in next Saturday’s Grade 1 Whitney Invitational Handicap and Grade 1 Test, turned in separate four-furlong breezes at Saratoga on Sunday morning.

“Her Smile went [four furlongs] in a blazing [46.97],” said Pletcher. “Mission Impazible went in [47.80]. Both of them went really well and seem to be coming up to their races in good order.”

Pletcher added that Mike Repole’s Giant Surprise, who was vanned off following a 4 ¼-length debut victory yesterday, has been diagnosed with a condylar fracture of his left front cannon bone and will undergo surgery tomorrow.

“We’ll know more about it after the surgery, but generally, condylar fractures have a pretty good prognosis,” said Pletcher.
