Midships Retired to France

Midships, who developed into a grade I winner following two modest seasons of racing in England, has been retired from racing to stand at Haras de Saint Arnoult in France, according to the Racing Post. His fee is €3,000.

A Kentucky-bred who raced as a homebred for Khaled Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms, Midships won or placed in seven of 10 races in England but finished unplaced in his sole stakes race overseas. He got off to a strong start upon his return to North American under the care of trainer Bobby Frankel with a close third to Court Vision and Cowboy Cal in the 2008 Hollywood Derby (gr. IT).
