The Fasig-Tipton November sale was held Monday at the company’s Newtown Paddocks in Lexington, Ky. Twenty-five offerings sold for $1,000,000 or more, led by a trio of Grade or Group 1 winners with international appeal.

Grade 1 winner McKulick sold for $6 million to Narvick International-Grand Stud from the consignment of ELiTE, agent, to top the single-session selected sale. Offered as a racing or broodmare prospect, the 5-year-old daughter of Frankel won the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational and five other graded stakes during her career, earning nearly $2 million and winning seven times from ages 2 through 5.

“It was a tremendous November sale,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. said “There was great competition, competitive bidding, obviously tremendous support from an international buying base.”

Ramatuelle, winner of this year’s Prix de la Floret (G1) against older males in October, sold for $5.1 million to M.V. Magnier from the consignment of Bedouin Bloodstock, agent. Offered as a racing or broodmare prospect, the 3-year-old daughter of Justify was a dual group-stakes winner and Group 1 stakes-placed last year at 2, all against males. She has earned over $640,000 to date.

Moira, winner of Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf, sold for $4.3 million to Bayles from the consignment of Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa, agent. Offered as a racing or broodmare prospect, Moira was Canadian horse of the year and divisional champion at 3 after winning the Woodbine Oaks and then scorching a new track record in the Queen’s Plate against males. A Grade 2 winner at 4 and 5, Moira’s Breeders’ Cup victory put her career earnings just shy of $3 million

“Our friends from Japan continue to be major supporters of this sale,” Browning said. “We also had European participation, Australian participation, and of course, strong American participation. It was a very broad buying bench.”

Overall, 172 horses sold for $93,948,500. Twenty-five offerings sold for $1 million or more. The average was $546,212 and the median was $250,000.
