McCanna, Baze join Washington Racing HOF

Trainer Tim McCanna and jockey Vicky (Aragon) Baze headline the 2011 Washington Racing Hall of Fame inductees, announced Monday by Emerald Downs.

The brilliant filly Firesweeper, champion gelding Pataha Prince and breeders Grousemont Farm of Ellensburg will also be inducted in ceremonies at Emerald Downs on Aug. 20, the eve of the 76th Longacres Mile.

Karen and Mickey Taylor, owners of legendary Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew, will receive a lifetime achievement award.
