Ron McAnally seeks his second Grade I victory with Miss Serendipity when she runs in Saturday’s Rodeo Drive Stakes for fillies and mares, 3 and up, at 1 ¼ miles on turf.

The 6-year-old Argentine-bred mare captured the Grade I Gamely at Santa Anita by a nose on May 26, and roared through the stretch under Brice Blanc to take the Grade II Yellow Ribbon at Del Mar by a length and a quarter on Sept. 1 for owner Anselmo E. Cavalieri.

“She needs to get the right trip and be clear in a big field,” the Hall of Fame trainer said. “She won at a mile and a quarter last time out in Argentina and set a track record that day (1:57 4/5 under 132 pounds on June 29, 2013).

“We’ll give it a try. That’s all you can do.”

The field for the Rodeo Drive: Cozze Up Lady, Kent Desormeaux; Famous Alice, Dryden Van Dyke; Moulin de Moulin, Mike Smith; Bee Brave, Tyler Baze; Scarlet Strike, Joe Talamo; Rusty Slipper, Aaron Gryder; Emollient, Rosie Napravnik; Parranda, Elvis Trujillo; Irish Mission, Corey Nakatani; Charlie Em, Martin Garcia; Stormy Lucy, Rafael Bejarano; Bunairgead, Victor Espinoza; Miss Serendipity, Brice Blanc; and Queen of the Sand, Alex Solis.
