Maragh Tumbles at the Spa

Jockey Rajiv Maragh fell off his mount during the seventh race today and is being transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

Maragh was riding the favorite, Pico Dinero, around the far turn when it appears the horse took a bad step and tripped, knocking him off. A reporter on the scene said Maragh may have hit the rail when he fell. The horse appeared fine and ran off.

Maragh was conscious treated by NYRA paramedics and is being transported to Albany Medical Center. NYRA officials say they are awaiting the results of X-rays and a CAT scan.
