A mandatory payout of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover pool has been scheduled for Thursday’s program at Gulfstream Park.

A $150,000 carryover jackpot pool will be guaranteed Thursday for a bettor who holds the only ticket with all six winners of the final six races – although it is estimated that the Rainbow 6 pool could climb to $300,000 or more. Should no one hold a unique ticket with all of the winners of Thursday’s six-race sequence (Races 5-10), those bettors holding tickets with the most winners will share in the entire pool.

Also, there will be mandatory payouts for both the 50-cent Pick 5 (Races 6-10) and the $1 Super Hi Five (Race 10). The Super Hi 5 has a carryover of $43,478.55.

The Rainbow 6 was last solved by one lucky bettor who cashed for $40,807.18. on Aug. 7. The Rainbow 6 produced an all-time Pick 6 wagering record on May 25, when the popular multi-race bet paid $6.6 million.

Thursday marks the final day of Gulfstream Park’s not-for-profit meeting. Live racing will continue uninterrupted on Friday, when Rainbow 6 wagering will start anew with a $50,000 carryover pool guarantee.

Who's Hot: Jockey Tyler Gaffalione, a 10-pound apprentice and son of former South Florida-based Steve Gaffalione, who retired from riding in 1998 with 827 victories, won the first race of his career Sunday when he guided Holdin Bullets to victory in the 11th race of the afternoon.

Gaffalione took the lead around the final turn from Revere's Ride to win on his third career mount. The victory stood despite a claim of objection by Revere's Ride's jockey Jose Alvarez for interference down the stretch.

"I'm beyond happy," Gaffalione, 19, said. "I wasn't expecting this happening so fast."

Trainer Jose Pinchin, who saddled Holywell ($85.60) for victory in the $250,000 Susan’s Girl Saturday, sent out a pair of winner’s Sunday: Morgans Harbour ($17.60) in the sixth and Cambiata ($7.60) in the eighth.

Jockey Ramsey Zimmerman doubled with Burning Time ($9.20) in the third and Cambiata in the eighth. Apprentice Arny Fontanez notched back-to-back victories aboard Forest Friends ($14.80) and Master Blender ($7) in the ninth race.
