Lucky Fans Win Contest Cash at Saratoga

Two lucky fans who were selected to participate in the “Win Wager” contest each won $1,800 when they correctly picked the winner of the eighth race on Thursday, September 1.

Eddie Pannell of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Staci Pierson of Portland, Michigan were among three fans selected by random drawing to participate in the contest, which bankrolled each fan with $1,000 to select one winner on races six through eight.

Pannell and Pierson wagered on Dark Thunder in the eighth race and each walked away with $1,800 when John Velazquez rode the favorite to victory.

The third fan selected to participate in the “Win Wager” contest placed her bet on Unaccountable in the seventh race. Unaccountable finished second to long shot Bergerac.
