Mark Valeski Heads Field Of 14 in Louisiana Derby

The coupled entry of Mark Valeski and Mr. Bowling, trained by Larry Jones and owned by Brereton Jones, are the morning line favorites at 2-1 in Sunday's G2 Louisiana Derby.

The full field of 14 was announced at the post position draw event Monday morning at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans. The two will break side-by-side from posts 8 and 9.

Also entered is Jerry Hollendorfer's California invader Rousing Sermon, at 6-1 on the morning line. Rousing Sermon drew post 12.

The Louisiana Derby is a key prep for the 2012 Kentucky Derby and features a $1 million purse.
