Three stakes, including a Grade 2, worth a combined $400,000 highlight the Los Angeles County Fair meet at Los Alamitos.

The nine-day season will begin Friday, June 20, and continue through Sunday, July 6. Racing will be conducted Friday through Sunday, June 20-22, June 27-29 and July 4-6. Post time will be 4 p.m. EDT.

The richest event on the calendar is the Grade 2, $200,000 Great Lady M. Stakes for fillies and mares at 6 1/2 furlongs. Won by Sharp Azteca in track record time in 2024, the Great Lady M. will be offered Saturday, July 5.

The $100,000 Los Alamitos Derby, which was won a year ago by Bob Baffert-trained Wynstock, will be contested Saturday, June 28. Baffert has won the Derby eight consecutive years and nine times since the race, which formerly was called the Swaps Stakes at Hollywood Park, has been run at Los Alamitos beginning in 2014.

Before Wynstock, the other Los Alamitos Derby winners for the Hall of Fame trainer were Reincarnate in 2023, High Connection in 2022, Classier in 2021, Uncle Chuck in 2020, Game Winner in 2019, Once On Whiskey in 2018, West Coast in 2017 and Gimme Da Lute in 2015.

The other stakes on the schedule is the $100,000 Bertrando for 3-year-olds and up bred or sired in California. The one-mile race will be run Saturday, June 21.
