Post time for the Los Angeles County Fair meet at Los Alamitos will move to 2 p.m. PT – from the current 1 p.m. – beginning Thursday.

The switch to 2 p.m. was approved Friday by the California Horse Racing Board and means post time will be the same as it was during the previous Los Angeles County Fair meets (2014-2017).

In addition, the Los Alamitos Racing Association has added a second Pick 5 to the wagering menu, which will also commence Thursday.

The second Pick 5 -- which is a 50-cent minimum wager -- will be on the final five races, joining the extremely popular Players’ Pick 5 (14 percent takeout) which is offered on the day’s first five races.

The Los Angeles County Fair meet continues through Sunday, Sept. 23.
