Paco Lopez, the meet’s leading rider, continued to pad his win total after visiting the winner’s circle four times during Wednesday’s card. Lopez has now ridden 20 winners at the Championship meet, which began Dec. 3. Wednesday marked the fourth racing card where Lopez won multiple races.
Lopez took the opener with Vow Me Over ($5.60); rode Leopardshill Road ($6) to victory in the third; piloted winner Battle Tux ($5) in the sixth; and was astride eighth race winner Attyla ($7). Vow Me Over and Battle Tux gave Bobby Dibona a training double.

Lopez, 31 celebrated his 2,000th career win at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 4 by piloting Yourdreamsormine to victory. The native of Mexico won the 2010 Championship Meet title and finished third in wins and fourth in purse earnings at both of the last two Championship stands.
