His agent, Matt Muzikar, listed the mounts he has lined up for Gaffalione.
Got Stormy, Mile - Gaffalione is the regular rider for Mark Casse's 6-year-old mare, who punched her ticket to Del Mar with a win in the Fourstardave (G1). In last year's Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, she finished fifth under Gaffalione.
Fast Boat, Sprint. Trained by Joe Sharp, the 6-year-old gelding's wins this year include the Turf Sprint (G2) at Churchill Downs and the Troy (G3) at Saratoga – the latter with Gaffalione aboard. Last out, he finished fourth in the Turf Sprint Stakes at Kentucky Downs with Joel Rosario in the irons.
Averly Jane, Juvenile Turf Sprint - The Wesley Ward trainee is 4-for-4, with Gaffalione aboard for the latest three wins.
Grafton Street, Juvenile Turf - He has a 1-1-1 record for trainer Mark Casse. All three were with different jockeys, none with Gaffalione.
Haughty, Juvenile Fillies Turf - Mukizar said trainer Chad Brown has a lot of confidence in this Empire Maker filly, who was the top alternate and appears to have made the field with the apparent defection of Zain Claudette. With Junior Alvarado aboard in her debut, she crossed the wire first with a four-length lead but was disqualified from the win for interference and placed third. In her only other race, under Gaffalione, she won by four lengths at Keeneland.
