Longstreet Scores Daring $25,000 DerbyWars Win

The final weekend of Breeders' Cup preps was prime time for cashing BIG on DerbyWars! Jim Meeks of Elko, Nevada took down the top prize in the $25,000 Keeneland Opening Saturday Game!

Meeks, known as "longstreet" on the leaderboard and recognizable with his intimidating avatar of the Civil War general, James Longstreet, played to win with some daring picks along the way. He started off the game with a $16.20 score with Iron Power at Belmont, the hit again at Big Sandy with $41.60 on Mighty One. Meeks "took the points" with Wise Dan at Keeneland before turning up the heat as the action moved to Santa Anita. He hit with three in a row in California, including the $32.60 scoring Rhagori and $20.60 with upset Sprint winner, Rich Tapestry. His final score was $135.70 to take home the $10,000 first prize!

In second place with $106 was Clint Littlejohn (clintlj) to win the $5,000 second prize, and Gene Calahan (genonc) in third place with $104.60 to cash out with $2,000. The top 3 prizes include an automatic entry into the $100,000 Halloween Game!
